Os du Randt

Jacobus Petrus du Randt, better known as Os du Randt ( born September 8, 1972 in Elliot, South Africa ) is a former South African rugby union player who on the position of the left pillar for the Springboks, the Central Cheetahs (Super 14 ) and the Free State Cheetahs ( Currie Cup) played. You Randt played for the Cats in the Super 12, but then went to the new Central Cheetahs Super 14 franchise, after the Free State Cheetahs had left the Cats franchise. He was one of the few former amateur player in rugby at international level.

Os (its Afrikaans nickname means " ox " because of his large, muscular build ) first time in 1994 played for the Springboks and was used in the 1995 World Cup, when South Africa became world champion. You Randt went on with the Boks in the following years as a major player. From the Rugby World magazine, he was voted the second best left pillar of all time in 1999.

The 190 cm and 125 kg du Randt is the last active player in the world professional champion team of 1995.

In 2007, du Randt was the second time world champion. He is one of five Australian players so that in addition to the only six players who managed to win two world titles. Following the tournament in France, he announced the end of his career.
