Osage is a city and county -seat in Mitchell County in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Iowa. The town has 3451 inhabitants ² in an area of 5.4 km. Osage is located on the eastern shore of the Cedar River in an agricultural area. 40 % of the inhabitants are of German descent and 10% of Irish descent. The city was named after the Osage Indians.
