Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan

Kaiyukan (Japanese海 游 馆) is one of the largest public aquariums in the world. It is located in Osaka in Japan.

The aquarium displays several habitats in 16 basins, together with the respective marine life. The habitats range from the Pacific Ring of Fire to the Pacific Ocean. The largest basin contains 5,400 cubic meters of water and is home to fish such as manta rays or whale shark.

The Kaiyukan Aquarium was opened on 20 July 1990 and is one with a total water volume of 11,000 tons of the largest urban indoor aquariums in the world. Kaiyukan, the Gaia hypothesis ( according to Dr. James Lovelock ) in the foreground, which " act the volcanoes of the earth and all living beings existing on each other and thus form a single living creature ."
