The Osam ( Bulgarian Осъм, historic name: Asamus ) is a tributary of the Danube in northern Bulgaria. It is 314 km long and drains an area of 2820 km ².
The source is in the field Trojans - on the northern slope of the summit Levski ( Левски ) in the Balkan Mountains ( Стара планина ) 1,821 m above sea level
Through the confluence of the Black Osam ( Черни Осъм ) - was defined as the actual source river - and the White Osam ( Бели Осъм ) of the river Osam arises.
The Osam flows near the town of Nikopol and Danube.
