Osborne Colson

Harry Osborne Colson ( born March 31, 1916 in Toronto, Ontario, † July 14, 2006 ) was a Canadian figure skater and figure skating coach.

Colson's father was one of the founders of the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club.

In single run was Osborne Colson 1935 Canadian Vice- Champion and 1936 and 1937 Canadian champion in pair skating, he reached in 1936 on the side of Mary Jane Halsted third place. However, he did not participate in World Cup. His coach was Gustave Lussi. After the end of his amateur career, Colson ran for the ice show Ice Follies.

As a coach, Colson worked with, among others, Barbara Ann Scott, Donald Jackson, Donald Laws and looked after in old age nor Patrick Chan, the 2005 Canadian junior champion was under his leadership.

Osborne Colson died on 14 July 2006 from pneumonia and other complications of a car accident he had suffered earlier in the year.
