Osborne Group

The Grupo Osborne ( German: Osborne Group) is a purely Spanish group that traditionally spirits, pork products and, more recently, mineral water is dedicated to. Its members include, for example, the brands Fino Quinta, Magno, 501, Conde de Osborne, Conde de Osborne Dalí, 103 Etiqueta blanca, 103 Etiqueta Negra Reserva del Toro, Anís del Mono, Jamones 5J and Solán de Cabras. In Germany it is known primarily through her Brandy Veterano. In 2005 it had a turnover of 313 million euros. The company is located in El Puerto de Santa María.

History

The company Osborne was founded in 1772 in Cadiz from originating from Exeter ( Devonshire ) Englishman Thomas Osborne Mann. At the latest in 1825 the company moved to El Puerto de Santa Maria. 1956 invented by Manolo Prieto the hallmark of the company, the Osborne bull. This was set up as a great stand on the streets of Spain and developed such a momentum that it is now regarded as an unofficial national symbol of Spain and is even found on flags and bumper stickers.
