Oscar García (fencer)

Oscar Manuel García Pérez ( born December 23, 1966 in Havana, Cuba) is a Cuban fencer and two-time world champion.

Achievements

1991 won Oscal García at the World Championships in Budapest a gold medal with the Cuban foil team. A year later at the Olympic Games in Barcelona won the Cuban team with him silver. In 1994, García won at the World Championships in Athens a bronze medal in the individual and in 1995 he won at the World Championships in The Hague with the team his second gold medal. In 1996 he again took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta and won the bronze medal with the team. 1997 at the World Championships in Cape Town the team erfocht a silver medal. In 2000 he also took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney, this time the team finished seventh and García in the seventeenth single place. 2001 García won at the World Championships in Nimes a bronze medal with the foil team.
