Oscar Geier

Oscar Arnold Geier ( born August 19, 1882 in Zurich, † November 5, 1942 in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey) was a Swiss bobsledder.

Geier was a lawyer by profession. He settled in 1902 in New Jersey in the United States down to open a branch for a law firm. In 1916 he returned temporarily to Switzerland to perform military service in World War II. Back in the U.S., he founded the law firm Richards & Geier. He operated several sports including bobsledding on the track in Lake Placid. As there, the Winter Olympics were held in 1932, certain Reto Capadrutt vulture to his brakeman. Together they won the silver medal in the two-man bob.
