Oscar Lindberg (ice hockey)

Oscar Lindberg (born 29 October 1991 in Skellefteå ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with Skellefteå AIK in the Elitserien since 2009.

Career

Oscar Lindberg began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the Skellefteå AIK, for the first team, he made his debut in the Elitserien in the season 2009/10. Here, the center achieved in a total of 46 games three goals and gave a presentation. Subsequently, the Swedish Junior national team was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in June 2010, initially in the KHL Junior Draft in the seventh round as a total of 178 players from HK Spartak Moscow, and shortly thereafter in the NHL Entry Draft in the second round than a total of 57 players. On May 8, 2011, the Coyotes gave him from the New York Rangers in exchange for Ethan Werek.

Internationally

For Sweden, Lindberg took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2009.

At the World Championships in 2013 in Stockholm and Helsinki, he was part of the Men's National Team and won the gold medal with this.
