Oscar Wendt ( 2011)
Oscar Wendt (born 24 October 1985 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish football player.
Career
Clubs
He began with five years of playing football. He began his career at his hometown club IFK Skövde. In 2003 he moved to IFK Gothenburg, for whom he played in the first two seasons mostly still in their youth, but already had some brief appearances in Allsvenskan. After he had gained a regular place in 2005 and regularly came into use, he moved to FC Copenhagen in the summer of 2006, with whom he was in the years 2007 and 2009 to 2011 Danish national champion four times.
After strong performances in the UEFA Champions League 2010/ 11, in Copenhagen as the first Danish team reached the knockout stages, Wendt joined in summer 2011 free transfer in the German Bundesliga to Borussia Moenchengladbach with a contract until 2014. His debut for Borussia gave he Matchday 8 of the 2011/12 season in the game against SC Freiburg. His first Plichtspieltor he shot in the DFB Cup quarter-finals 2011/12 against Hertha BSC. This season, in which his club won the fourth place, thus qualifying for the Champions League, Oscar Wendt could not prevail against Filip Daems captain and therefore only came to 14 inserts.
In the following season 2012/13 Wendt was initially substitute before then towards the end of the first round Daems drew upon a violation of the adductors. Wendt was then in the last eight games of the first round in the starting lineup. His first Bundesliga for Borussia Monchengladbach 's shot on 11 November 2012 at the 4-2 away win over SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
National
Wendt made his debut on 14 January 2007, the 0-2 defeat against Venezuela during a tour of South America in the Swedish national team. He also played in parallel for the U -21 Sweden, for whom he debuted in 2006.
