The Osun Sacred Grove, on the goddess Osun

The Osun ( Osun, Osun ) is a river in south-western Nigeria. It is named after Osun, which is the river goddess in the religion of the Yoruba.

The Osun rises in the Yorubabergen in the State of Osun, Oshogbo flows through the town, near which is the sacred grove of the goddess Osun, and is dammed in Asejire reservoir. Then it flows east of Epe by the states of Osun and Lagos lagoon Lekki.
