Oskar Marion

Oskar Marion ( born April 2, 1894 in Brno, † March 1986 in Munich) was an Austrian actor and film production manager.

Life

He spent several semesters studying medicine at the University of Vienna and served in World War II as a medic. After the war he took acting lessons in Vienna and began his stage career at the Vienna Chamber games.

Later he played at the City Theatre Brno and at the State Theatre in Prague. From there he went to Berlin, where he acted at the local theaters. Since 1919, he made ​​numerous film offers true. He embodied elegant lovers and gentlemen.

From 1936 to 1941 he worked as an assistant director. In 1941 he was production manager, later also manufacturing group leader at the Bavaria Film. After the war he worked as a production manager for various Munich film companies, including the Eva film for which he established the successful productions Rose Andrew and The Silent Angel with Christine Kaufmann among others.
