Oskar Uhlig

Oskar Uhlig was a German figure skater, who started in a single run. He is the first European Figure Skating Champion in history.

Uhlig launched for the Berlin Eislaufverein 1886. 1891 in Hamburg, he won the first European Figure Skating Championship history clearly before his countrymen Anon Schmitson and Franz Zilly.

In 1893 he was elected chairman of the Berlin skating club for which he had started, was elected. In 1894 he worked as a referee for speed skating events and 1909 as judge at the World Figure Skating Championships.
