Osleidys Menéndez

Osleidys Menéndez Sáez ( born November 14, 1979 in Martí, Matanzas ) is a Cuban javelin thrower. She is Olympic champion and two-time world champion.

Menéndez threw at the age of 14 years the spear to a distance of nearly 54 m and in 1996 and 1998 two consecutive Junior World Champion. Your first start in major international championships she had at the World Athletics Championships 1997 in Athens, where they finished seventh.
