Osman PamukoÄŸlu

Osman Pamukoğlu ( born November 22, 1947 in Gerze, Sinop ) is a Turkish politician, writer and former Major General.

Life

Osman Pamukoğlu visited the Selimiye school of the Turkish Armed Forces and the Military University of the Ground Forces. After he finished this, he attended the Infantry Battle School. In addition, he was educated at the Academy of armed force and at the Academy of the Ministry of Defence.

From 1958 he was active for 43 years in the Turkish army. Between the years 1990 and 2001 he was stationed in Uzunköprü, Hakkari, on Northern Cyprus and Istanbul. In the southeast of the country, he was involved in combat operations against the PKK. On August 4, 2002, he was forced to retire.

4 September 2008 Pamukoğlu founded the Party for Justice and Equality ( Hak ve Eşitlik Partisi, short HEPAR ) and was chairman of this. He is married and has two children.
