Ospino

Ospino is a Venezuelan village in the state of Portuguesa, in the Llanos of Venezuela. The community Ospino had about 49228 inhabitants of the census of 2011, according to. The village has a few dozen schools.

The village was established, as settlers from Guanare that there had their lands, their families and workers brought and settled there. On August 15, 1754 Ferdinand VI gave the settlement the title of " villa". The village suffered particularly during the Peninsular War and at the times of the Federal War.

In 1814 the village was after it had fallen into the hands of the rebels, recaptured by the Spanish troops. In 1818 there was an uprising, but was quickly extinguished.
