The Eastern Railway Bridge is a railway bridge that crosses the Danube Canal in Vienna and the districts of Leopoldstadt Simmering and connects.

History
1870-1939
In 1870, the Duisburg company Harkort built, designed by Anton Battig and August Köstlin bridge under the direction of Johann Caspar Harkort V. ( 1785-1877 ). It was built as a double track truss bridge.
1939-1945
In 1939, the Eastern Railway bridge was rebuilt by the National Socialist regime, to reflect the increased exposure to higher shipping weight.
