Oster-Ohrstedt
Easter Ohrstedt (Danish: Øster Ørsted, Frisian: AASTER Uurst ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography and transport
Easter Ohrstedt is located about 14 km east of Husum on the edge of Bredstedt- Husum Geest ridge and about 18 km west of Schleswig. Through the village the main road runs 201 of Husum in Schleswig.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1438.
Policy
Municipal council
In the local elections on May 26, 2013, the voters Communities WGA to four, and the WFTU were for five seats.
Mayor
For the election period 2013-2018 Michael Bartels was elected mayor. He succeeded Hans- Otto shimmer that the Office had held for ten years.
Economy
Apart from agriculture, the residential use for the community is formative. There is in the community a solar park, two biogas plants and a wind farm.
Train
In the community Easter Ohrstedt is a site of primary and community school Viöl -Ohrstedt - Haselund. The school also has a sports center that uses the sports club Ohrstedt. Sports that are offered are as Faust, handball, table tennis, step aerobics, jazz dance, gymnastics. In summer, an outdoor swimming pool is open.
