Oster

Easter (Ukrainian Остер; Russian Остёр / Ostjor ) is a settlement in the Chernihiv Oblast of Ukraine with about 7,000 inhabitants. It is located at the mouth of the River Easter in the river Desna. Administratively part of the township next to the town the three villages Beremyzke ( Беремицьке ) Ljubetschanyniw ( Любечанинів ) and Poliske ( Поліське. )

History

Easter was founded in 1098 by Vladimir Monomakh.
