Course

The Osterbach formed by the confluence of the rear Hutten Bach and the Near Hutten Bach north of Friesenhofen (Book). Then it flows north through a narrow valley and empties finally northeast of Silheim or west of the small village of pillows (both: community Bibertal ) in the beaver. About half of the distance from the source to the confluence with the Middle Hüttenbach the rear Hutten creek flowing past the members of the community Buchsweiler Waldreichenbach. The difference in height between the source and the confluence is about 38 m.
