Ostrata

Ostrata is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-east of Zlín and belongs to Okres Zlín.

Geography

Ostrata located at the foot of the mountains in the Host One Freistadtler Valley ( Fryštácká Brázda ). The village is located in the valley of the brook Ostratky. To the north of the Sýkoří ( 449 m ) and in the northeast the Sobolice (450 m) and the Nad Bařinami rises (534 m). Northeast of the Dřevnice is jammed in the dam Slušovice and south of the Ostratky in Stauweiher Ostrata.

Neighboring towns are Velíková and Kašava in the north, Hrobice in the northeast, Nové Dvory and Březova in the east, in the southeast Slušovice, Vratišov and Vesela in the south, and Hvozdná Žleby the southwest, Štípa in the west and Lukov in the northwest.

History

In the founding document of the monastery Smilheim the Bach Ostrata 1261 was called, but not the village. Its first written record was made in 1391 under the name Ostrat as part of the rule Lukov. Owners at that time were Messrs. von Sternberg, a part of the village belonged to the noble forester of Ostrata Pavlik and his wife Anna. This proportion remained until the mid-15th century in the possession of the family of Ostrata, most recently, the Court in 1446 was listed as a pledge of the ownership of the Zlín priest Jan Ostrata. Since 1407 the place name Ostrata is in use. Owner of the domain Lukov were, inter alia, the Nekesch Landek in the 16th century. Lucretia of Witschkow, born Nekesch Landek, which had in 1607 inherited the reign, married in 1609 Albrecht of Wallenstein. 1625 Waldstein Lukov came from with all the accessories to the Emperor, who handed over the rule to Stephan Schmidt of free Mayrhofen. 1628 From this acquired the Minkwitz of Minkwitzburg the now heavily indebted government. 1710 bought the Lords of Rottalblick Lukov. John of Rottalblick sold the goods in 1724 to Johann Friedrich von Seilern - Aspang, whose descendants held the property until 1945. The oldest town seal dates from the late 18th century. Until the mid- 19th century, the village always rule Lukov remained associated.

After the abolition of patrimonial Ostrata formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Uherský Brod. As of 1855, the village belonged to the district Vizovice and from 1868 to the district Holešov. 1935 Ostrata was assigned to the Zlín Region. From 1950 Ostrata belonged to Okres Gottwaldov - okolí and again from 1960 to Okres Gottwaldov, which again bears the name Okres Zlín after the political changes since 1990. 1980 Ostrata was incorporated into Gottwaldov. In 2001, the village broke again from Zlín and formed its own community.
