Osvaldo Dragún

Osvaldo Dragún ( born May 7, 1929 in Colonia Berro the province of Entre Ríos, † June 14, 1999 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine playwrights.

Life

First studied Dragún in Buenos Aires Jura, this study breaks from however, to devote himself entirely to the theater. From 1961 to 1963 director of the playwright seminar Havana he is later initiator and driving force of movement theater Teatro Abierto, and finally passes into Cuba Taller Internacional de Teatro de América Latina y el Caribe. He has written numerous screenplays for the Argentine and Spanish television, his pieces are distributed both in the American literature as well as in Europe and Russia.

A well-known piece of Dragún is The Man Who Turned into a Dog about a man who is applying for a position as a guard dog and then literary actually becomes a an absurd parable about the ridiculous importance attached by the society of the place of work of a human.
