Oswald Zappelli

Oswald Zappelli ( born October 27, 1913 in Lausanne, † April 3, 1968 ) was a Swiss fencer.

Zappelli was an architect by profession. As captain of the Swiss epee team he won three Olympic medals during his active sporting time. In 1948 he won at the Games in London, a silver medal in épée competition. Four years later, at the Games in Helsinki, he won a bronze medal in both the singles competition as well as with the Swiss team.
