Otanmäki is a village about 30 km south- west of Kajaani, Finland. Otanmäki is located in the former municipality Vuolijoki that belongs to the city of Kajaani since 2007. The town has about 1000 inhabitants.

The town was founded in the 1950s to supply an iron ore mine. The mine was operated from 1953 to 1985 Rautaruukki Oy and promoted iron ore.
