Other Voices is the seventh studio album by the American rock band The Doors. It was published in October 1971 by Elektra Records. It was the first after Jim Morrison's death in July 1971.

History

The recording of the album had already begun, as Morrison was in France on holiday. Some songs were rehearsed loudly keyboardist Ray Manzarek with Morrison before his departure for Paris. Down on the Farm was written during the recording sessions for the previous album, Morrison did not have it at that time with on the plate. Other Voices was released three months after Morrison's death. Manzarek and guitarist Robbie Krieger shared on her singing. The album reached number 31 on the charts, the single Tightrope Ride Place 71

A CD version was released in 2006 under the label Timeless Holland.

Criticism

Lindsay planners of Allmusic awarded 4 out of 5 stars. She wrote: " Although they'd never regain Their former acclaim, the Doors would take this platter into the Top 40 and pull off a successful tour behind the project. "

Inside cover of the album is to be read: "All songs written by Krieger, Densmore, Manzarek ". Some LP versions, however, a lyric sheet with individual credits was, some early versions had this on the label of the record you yourself are given below.
