Otis Birdsong

Otis Lee Birdsong ( born December 9, 1955 in Winter Haven, Florida ) is a former American professional basketball player.

After a very successful college career at the University of Houston Birdsong was pulled at the NBA Draft in 1977 by the Kansas City Kings in 2nd place. Quickly, the Guard has developed into an outstanding scorer and scored in the 1980-81 season, 24.9 points per game. Between 1979 and 1981, also followed by three vocations to the NBA All- Star Game. From 1981, he played seven years for the New Jersey Nets, where he was appointed to the All-Star Game in 1984 again, and one year for the Boston Celtics. In 1989, he ended his career early and returned to Houston, where he commented games of his former university. In his honor the jersey number 10 has been blocked by the university.

Birdsong scored during his career 18.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
