Otmice

Ottmütz, Polish Otmíče is a town in Upper Silesia in the community room village ( Izbicko ) in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship.

History

In 1850 the town had 222 inhabitants. 1900, the first school was built in Ottmütz.

In the referendum on March 20, 1921 120 voters voted to remain in Germany and 140 for Poland. Ottmütz remained with the German Reich. By 1945, the place was in the district of Great Strehlitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration, was renamed Otmíče and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 Ottmütz for Opole Voivodeship and the 1999 re-established powiat Strzelecki.

On 6 March 2006 the German Ottmütz was in the church parlor village belongs, is introduced as a second official language. On 20 May 2008, the City also received the official German place names Ottmütz. In December 2008, bilingual town signs were erected.
