OTS 44

OTS 44 is a brown dwarf in the constellation Chamaeleon. With a mass corresponding to 15 times the mass of Jupiter, he is therefore the smallest brown dwarf within the definition. He was discovered by Kevin Luhman using the Spitzer Space Telescope. It also was discovered a dust disk, the OTS 44 orbits. The hope is it to learn more about the formation of planets.
