Otterthal is a municipality with 596 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Neunkirchen in Lower Austria.

Geography

Otterthal located in the industrial district, in Lower Austria. The area of ​​the municipality covers 6.18 square kilometers. 61.72 percent of the area is forested.

History

In ancient times, the area was part of the province of Noricum.

On 1 January 1971 the municipalities were amalgamated Raach on high mountains and Trattenbach to Otterthal. On 1 January 1985 these two congregations became independent again. Reason was a decision of the Constitutional Court.
