Ottfried Neubecker

Ottfried Neubecker (born 22 March 1908 in Charlottenburg, † July 8, 1992 in Wiesbaden, Germany ) was one of the most famous and heraldist vexillologists of modernity.

Life

Ottfried Neubecker, son of the jurist Friedrich Karl Neubecker studied at the Universities of Geneva, Heidelberg and Berlin. His heraldic career began in the 1920s. With the work the German coat of arms from 1806 to 1871. he was 1931 Dr. phil. doctorate. Neubecker was instrumental in the establishment of Heraldry also in the bourgeois environment.
