Otto Bernhardt

Otto Bernhardt ( born February 13, 1942 in Rendsburg ) is a German politician ( CDU). He was the CDU / CSU parliamentary group from 2005 to 2009 Chairman of the Finance and was from 1979 to 1984 Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Culture of the Federal State of Schleswig -Holstein.

Since leaving the Bundestag in 2009 Bernhardt has been an independent policy and management consultant in Berlin.

Life and career

After graduation in 1962 Bernhardt completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk and began then in 1964 to study economics at the University of Hamburg, which he finished in 1968 with a degree in commercial teacher and after the clerkship in 1970 with the second state examination for Higher Magisterium.

1985 Bernhardt joined the Management Board of the economic construction Checkout Schleswig -Holstein AG and became one following their merger with the Wohnungsbaukreditanstalt the management of the newly established Schleswig -Holstein Investment Bank.
