Otto Fickeisen

Otto Fickeisen ( born December 24, 1879 in Ludwigshafen, Rhineland -Palatinate, † December 14, 1963 ) was a German rower of the Ludwigshafen Rowing Club and Olympic champion.

He took as an athlete for Germany in the Olympic Games in 1900 and 1912, in part in the four with coxswain. For its first participation in Paris in 1900 he was able to win the bronze medal with his team. Twelve years later, at the Olympic Games in Stockholm, he took part again together with his brother Rudolf Fickeisen, Hermann Wilker, Albert Arnheiter and helmsman Otto Maier and won the gold medal. This was also the first Olympic gold medal for the German Rowing Federation.
