Otto Flügel

Otto wings ( born June 16, 1842 in Lützen, † July 9, 1914 in Dölau (Hall ) ) was a German theologian and philosopher.

He was the son of the teacher and the mayor Johann Nikolaus (1806-1862) and Sophie, nee Hartung was born in Lützen near Leipzig. After schooling and teaching as Forsteleve in Schleusingen, he studied from 1864 on philosophy, theology and the natural sciences in Halle ( Saale). Considerable influence exercised while his teacher Carl Sebastian Cornelius on him, a direct pupil Johann Friedrich Herbart. In 1868, he taught briefly at Progymnasium Weissenfels. From 1869 to 1871 he was a deacon in Laucha, then to 1883 country parson in Schochwitz, then to 1908 country parson in Wansleben. 1912 Awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Halle. Wing married in 1869 Marie, daughter of Friedrich Heinrich Theodor Allihn ( 1811-1885 ). The two had a son and two daughters.
