Otto Schwerdgeburth

Schwerdgeburth Otto ( born March 5, 1835 in Weimar, † December 22, 1866 ) was a German painter. Schwerdgeburth is the son of Carl August Schwerdgeburth from his second marriage. He was a pupil of his father, Friedrich Preller, and 1856-1860 of the Academy of Antwerp. From 1860 he worked in Weimar from 1865 to 1866 in Rome. His painting is influenced by Pauels.

Pictures of Otto Schwerdgeburth hang in the Wallraf -Richartz Museum in Cologne, the Kunsthalle Bremen and Weimar in the farm museum.
