Otto Zitko

Otto Zitko ( born February 14, 1959 in Linz) is an Austrian artist. He lives and works in Vienna.

Life

Otto Zitko studied from 1977 to 1982 at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna with Herbert Tasquil and Peter Weibel. His first exhibitions were held in 1978 Künstlerhaus Wien and 1982 in the Galerie Peter Pakesch. Since the 1980s, Otto Zitko busy with the drawing as a painterly means that he, coming from the oil painting, not considered as a preparatory sketch or study for the painting, but as a " drawing, argues from the standpoint of painting ".
