Ottokar Fischer

Ottokar Fischer ( * 1873, † 1940) was an Austrian magician and long time president of the Magic Club of Vienna.

Life

At the age of ten years Ottokar Fischer began to conjure, his first public presentation he gave at eighteen. In 1898 Fischer headed a long time the Kratky Baschik Theatre in Vienna. After the First World War, he devoted his life to the history and exploration of the art of magic, especially the works of Johann Nepomuk Hofzinser whose feats he in the two books, The Wonder Book of Magic (1929) and JN Hofzinsers maps Arts (1910 ) described. 1933 Fischer was awarded the Johann Nepomuk Hofzinser Memorial ring.
