Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II (born 6 May 1950) is the 16th Asantehene, the Ashanti people in Ghana.

He ascended the Golden stool, the symbol of royalty, on 26 April 1999. Through his name, he was raised in the direct successor of the founder of the Kingdom of Ashanti, Otumfuo Osei Tutu I. Osei Tutu II was on May 6, Born in 1950 and Barima Kwaku Dua called. He is the youngest of the five children of Nana Afua Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, Asantehemaa ( Queen mother of Asante ).

He received his education at the Polytechnic of North London, today, London Metropolitan University. This university gave him on 11 January 2006 and an honorary doctorate of philosophy.

One of his nephews, the Ghanaian- American professional wrestler Prince Nana.
