Band History

When in 1995 their first demo mountain days published the band consisted of Vintersorg, Cia Hedmark, Mattias Marklund, Daniel Fredriksson, Samuel Norberg and Stefan Strömberg.

The lyrics were entirely in Swedish and acted for the most part of the nature, the sole song - writer was Andreas Hedlund ( Vintersorg ), who was supported somewhat by Samuel Norberg. This occupation was still holding the next two demos (I Trollskogens Drömmande Mörker and Galdersång Till mountain faders) and the first album Älvefärd (distributed by Napalm Records) by.

There was a restructuring in the band, in the Samuel Norberg and Stefan Strömberg left the band, instead Norberg now took Daniel Fredriksson next to the bass harmonica, sounds, Jew's harp and the violin key. Instead of Strömberg, Fredrik Nilsson came to the band, who then took over the drums. In this line-up then the second and last album Sagovindars Boning was recorded, then it was out with the band. Vintersorg and Mattias Marklund announced that they would no longer like to Otyg.

The former members of the band are now distributed in various other bands (eg Casket Casey ). The resolution of Otyg had consequences for Vintersorgs own solo project, he took Mattias Marklund from now on as a permanent member in his solo project and embarked on a completely new style, which, however, did not please all fans.
