Oubritenga Province

Oubritenga is a province in the region Central Plateau in the West African nation of Burkina Faso.

It is mainly inhabited by Mossi, whose livelihood is mainly subsistence farming. Capital is Ziniare. According to plans of the new major airport of Ouagadougou to be built in Loumbila. The name means Oubritenga on Moré "Land of Oubri "; Oubri was the son Ouédraogos, the legendary ancestor of the Mossi.
