Our Time Is Up is an American short film from the year 2004.

Action

Dr. Stern, a psychologist leads a well-ordered life. He gives advice to his patients after he has listened carefully to them, and assured them that everything will turn out in the foreseeable future for the best. Then he gets a call from his oncologist, who tells him that he has to live only a few weeks. Dr. Stern changes his method of treatment. It does not want to redeem in the foreseeable future, but immediately from their problems to patients. He tried it with unsparing honesty.

Awards

2006, the film was nominated in the category Best Short Film Oscar.

Awards were for the film at the Aspen Short Fest with the Jury Prize, at the Hamptons International Film Festival with the Audience Award, at the Montreal Comedy Festival " Just For Laughs " with the Audience Award and the Portland International Film Festival also with the Audience Award.

Background

For the production of the film was only a very small budget, staff and actors worked for free. The shooting lasted two days and took place at the home of Pearl 's parents.

The film had its premiere on 8 October 2004 at the Mill Valley Film Festival.

It is available on DVD ( A Collection of 2005 Academy Award Nominated Short Films ) and the iTunes Store.
