Our World (TV special)

Our World ( Our World ) was the first world by satellite broadcast live television broadcast. It was aired on June 25, 1967 under the auspices of the British BBC. A total of 19 countries took part, between 400 and 700 million people from up to 31 countries watched the broadcast.

The British television producer Aubrey Singer had the idea of the media theorist Paddy Whannel taken to show people around the world in their work and their leisure activities.

In the program, among other things Maria Callas and Pablo Picasso occurred. The British contribution was a live circuit in the Abbey Road Studios where the Beatles recordings specially composed for the occasion song All You Need Is Love.
