Ousas

Ousas was a Christian King of Aksumitisches empire in Africa, who ruled the end of the fourth century. The ruler is almost exclusively known from his coins, which are similar to those of Ella Asbeha. Therefore, it was already suspected, Ousas is merely another name of Tazena, which in turn appears as the father in later tradition, and on coins of Ella Asbeha.

Appears on his coins on either side of the bust of Ousas. On the front it usually is the inscription: OYCAC BACILEYC - Ousas, the King, on the lapel THEOY EYXAPICTIA - by the grace of God.
