Out of Time is the seventh studio album by the American alternative rock band REM It was published on 11 March 1991 under the Warner label.

Success

The album received three Grammy Awards and four times platinum in the United States. To date, sold more than 10 million times and is thus from a commercial perspective the international breakthrough of the band dar. Out of Time beats musical bridge from the more pop- and rock -influenced music of the previous album Green, to Automatic for the People in which a variety of elements of folk and country music were used.

Although there was no tour to support the marketing, the album especially in the U.S., UK and Austria was a great success - for the first time ever reached REM in the chart lists these countries Rank 1

In 2005 appeared, again under Warner Bros. Records, a reissue of the album. In addition to the original content an extended booklet and a bonus DVD was.
