Ovenbird

Ovenbird ( Seiurus aurocapilla )

The Ovenbird ( Seiurus aurocapilla ) is a bird, and belongs to the family of warblers ( Parulidae ). The Americans call him teacher Vogel ( Teacherbird ), since the successive calls as " Tihtscher " sound.

The breeding areas are located in the forest areas in eastern North America ( Central and Eastern Canada ); the wintering areas of Mexico to the north of South America.

Ovenbird have a black fringed orange-brown line on the vertex. To the eye there is a white ring. On the forest floor the Ovenbird looking for spiders, insects, snails and other invertebrates. The closed cavity is created at the bottom and contains four to five eggs are incubated for a period of 10 to 14 days.
