Overburden Conveyor Bridge F60

F60 is the series designation of five conveyor bridges in the Lusatian lignite mining. They were built by the former VEB TAKRAF Lauchhammer and are the largest mobile technical working machines in the world. As overburden conveyor bridge they transport the overburden, the superimposed above the coal seam. Originally Abtragsmächtigkeit maximum is 60 meters, hence the name F60. With a length of 502 meters it is also referred to as a horizontal Eiffel Tower. Overall, it is up to 80 meters high and 240 meters wide. In the operational state, the overburden conveyor bridge weighs ( without excavator ) 13,500 tons.

In the Lusatian lignite mining area are still four F60 in operation: in the lignite mines Welzow -Süd, Nochten, Jaenschwalde and Reichwalde. The fifth and last built conveyor bridge is accessible to visitors and is at the visitor mine overburden conveyor bridge F60 at lights -Schacksdorf.

Technology

The F60 has two chassis complexes ( bagger side) or two ( flip side) drive on three tracks to standard gauge. In addition to the backhoe other two tracks, there are two tracks for the transformer and cable cars, as well as for the connected Eimerkettenbagger again. In total there are 760 chassis wheels, which are driven by 380. F60 is the maximum speed of 15 m / min, the operating speed of 9 m / min.

The bridge has two conveyor upstream excavator of the type it 3150 or 3750 as it " Zuarbeiter ", one each at the two cross conveyors. Both together have a capacity of about 17,000 m³ / h ( It 3150 ) and 23,000 m³ / h ( It 3750 ). On the bridge, run nine different overburden conveyor belts at a speed of up to 9 m / s

The electrical connected load of the F60, including the two excavators 27,000 kW. In order to promote a cubic meter of overburden from the dredging site to Versturz height of 75 m are required 1.2 kWh electric energy.

In addition to the two excavators on the so- called "main working level " there are two of the contained four operational F60 is another excavator, a tributary bridge directly ( F60 in Nochten ) or via an excavator cross conveyor ( F60 in Jaenschwalde ) with the main bridge is coupled. This combination is used for a maximum lifting height increases and on the other hand, the maximum flow rate is increased or 34,600 m³ / h (3 Excavator Type There 3750 ) on up to 25,600 m³ / h ( It 3150 3 backhoe type). The F60 in Welzow -South was founded in 1977 to improve performance, equipped with a feeder Bridge, as it is in the F60 open pit Nochten in use. This shuttle was dismantled in October of 2011 due to the changed conditions in the overburden subfield South and is scheduled for scrapping.
