Overeaters Anonymous

Overeaters Anonymous ( OA ) is an international self-help group for people with eating disorders, their program is based on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. As in all twelve-step groups no membership lists are kept and the members can remain anonymous.

OA was founded in 1960 in the United States in Los Angeles.

Financing

OA does not charge any dues or fees for membership, but maintains itself entirely by voluntary donations of members. During most meetings are being collected donations to cover the expenses for eg rent and literature creation. OA does not accept donations from outside.
