Overriding aorta

The term Reitende aorta (sometimes over riding aorta end ) refers to a specific cardiology incorrect position of the main artery ( aorta) in connection with a septal perched in congenital heart defects:

The usually originating within the left ventricle aorta is displaced to the right in the phenomenon of the riding aorta, thus riding over the hole in the septum and thus receives from both chambers of the heart blood.

It is characterized by a riding aorta in the presence of a tetralogy of Fallot.
