Oviedo Cathedral

The Cathedral of San Salvador of Oviedo (Spanish: Santa Basílica Catedral de San Salvador de Oviedo) is the bishop's church of the Archdiocese of Oviedo in Oviedo in the Spanish province of Asturias. The mainly Gothic- style cathedral was built in 1388-1539.

However, the style of the cathedral is not uniform, so that there are also characteristics of other architectural eras. The façade was built by Juan de Badajoz and Pedro de Buyeres and designed. There are three ships, in which there are chapels. The ambulatory is predominantly of the Renaissance. In the chapel of King Alfonso II is a baroque crypt ( called Royal Pantheon ) with the graves of some Asturian kings. Also located in the cloister of the Diocesan Museum, will be exhibited in the archaeological pieces.
