Owen D. Leib

Owen D. abdomen ( * in Pennsylvania, † June 17, 1848 in Catawissa, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician. From 1845 to 1847 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

The date of birth and the exact birthplace of Owen body are not known. He enjoyed a classical education. After a subsequent medical studies and his medical license, he began to practice in this profession in Catawissa. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Party.

In the congressional elections of 1844 body in the eleventh electoral district of Pennsylvania was in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Benjamin Alden Bidlack on March 4, 1845. Until March 3, 1847, he was able to complete a term in Congress. This was marked by the events of the Mexican-American War. During his time as an MP body was Chairman of the Committee for the control of expenditures of the War Department. He died on June 17, 1848 in Catawissa.
