Owen Scott

Owen Scott ( born July 6, 1848 Effingham County, Illinois, † December 21, 1928 in Decatur, Illinois ) was an American politician. Between 1891 and 1893 he represented the state of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Owen Scott attended the common schools and a private school in Kinmundy. After he graduated from the State Normal School in Normal. He then worked as a teacher. Between 1873 and 1881 Scott was in Effingham County Board of Education. After a simultaneous study of law and its 1873 made ​​admission to the bar he began to practice in this profession in Effingham. From 1881 he also worked in the newspaper industry.
